If you're regularly insulating AC, refrigeration, condensate, plumbing or heating pipework, Isopipe ISOCOIL delivers comparable fire rating, vapour resistance, and temperature performance to leading brands — at a significantly lower price point. Supplied as a continuous 15-metre coil rather than standard 2-metre sections, you cut exactly what you need, eliminate unnecessary joints on longer runs, and save both material and labour time on every job. What Is Nitrile Rubber Pipe Lagging? Nitrile rubber (NBR) is the professional standard for black pipe insulation across HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, and plumbing. Its closed-cell structure acts as a built-in vapour barrier, preventing moisture from reaching the pipe surface and eliminating the need for a separate vapour barrier on installation. It's the go-to solution for insulating AC refrigerant lines where condensation and sweating are the primary concern, and equally effective as condensate pipe insulation, microbore pipe insulation, and VRF pipe insulation across a wide range of bore sizes. Uninsulated or poorly insulated pipework leads to energy loss, water damage, and mould growth — all of which nitrile rubber pipe insulation directly prevents. The Coil Advantage — Slip On Before You Fix One of the biggest practical benefits of the ISOCOIL format is the ability to slip the insulation onto the pipe before it's installed and fixed in place. This is particularly valuable when working with: MDPE blue water pipes — where threading insulation onto a fixed run is impractical Speedfit and plastic push-fit pipework — where insulating after installation is time-consuming and wasteful AC copper lines — where refrigerant pipework is typically run and fixed before the system is commissioned Threading the coil onto the pipe before installation eliminates the need to slit, glue, and seal every metre individually — cutting labour time significantly and producing a cleaner, more thermally consistent finish with far less material waste. Technical Specification Thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK at 20°C (0.033 W/mK at 0°C) — tested to EN 12667 Operating range of -50°C to 110°C ( 85°C where sheets or rolls are fully glued to the surface) — tested to EN 14707 and EN 14706 Water vapour permeability μ ≥ 10,000 — tested to EN 13469 and EN 12086 Class 0 & Class 1 fire rated under BS 476 Parts 6 & 7 Euroclass B, S2, d0 for coils, pipes, and slit formats (EN 13501-1) Fungi resistance certified — ASTM G21 Bacterial resistance certified — ASTM E2180 Noise reduction up to 30dB — tested to DIN 4109 CFC, HFC, and HCFC free — ODP zero, GWP zero Full Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) — registration number S-P-05562 Full certification documentation, test reports, and technical data sheets are available directly from the manufacturer: → Isopipe Official Downloads Available Bore Sizes 10mm | 15mm | 22mm | 25mm | 28mm Suitable for copper pipe, MDPE pipe, Speedfit, plastic push-fit, and microbore pipework across residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Why Buy as a 15M Coil? Unlike short 2-metre sections, the continuous 15-metre pipe insulation roll means fewer joints, less adhesive, less scrap, and faster installation. The lightweight coil is easy to carry on site and practical to store between jobs — ideal for contractors and regular trade buyers. Complete the Job Pair with our matching Isopipe nitrile rubber tape for a thermally consistent, fully sealed finish at every joint and termination. We also stock black pipe insulation in standard 2-metre lengths if shorter sections suit your job better.
