Siderise - Acrylic Fire Resistant Sealant - 310ml Tube

Siderise FR-A Fire Rated Acrylic Sealant is a one-part, fire resistant, gun-grade acrylic-based joint sealant. It provides a firm, yet flexible, seal for joints in a variety of fire rated structures. When exposed to fire, FR-A Acrylic Sealant intumesces to prevent the spread of smoke and fire through the joint for periods up to 4 hours. FR-A Acrylic Sealant can be used with a suitable filling material i.e. stone wool backing material to secure the correct width to depth ratio, and to reduce sealant shrinkage during curing. FR-A Acrylic Sealant has a D-s1, d0 reaction to fire classification to EN 13501-1 Flexible for joint movement and slump-resistant, making it ideal for small joints. Demonstrates strong adhesion to substrates including timber, steel, and aluminium. Priming is not typically required for many construction surfaces. Cures and becomes tack-free in approximately 75 minutes, based on standard application conditions. Note - it is not suitable for external use where there is exposure to moisture or weathering e.g. ventilated cladding (rainscreen) and external masonry wall applications.
